MACON – Bobby J. Herrin, 77, passed away Wednesday, March 07, 2012 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, on Friday, March 9, 2012 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Bowker officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan, GA. The family will meet friends from 6 – 7 p.m., on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Herrin was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Herrin and by his parents, Robert Lee Herrin and Mattie Lee Dearmond Herrin. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. Mr. Herrin was a member of Berean Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Carol (Bob) McKinley of Macon, Leroy (Connie) Herrin of Greenville, KY, Tammy (Ken) Duckworth of Byron and Tony Herrin; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and his brother, Paul William Herrin of Kansas City, MO.
