

Born in the city of Harrison located in Washington county Georgia on May 27, 1937 to Johnny Herbert Sheppard and Doris Brantley Sheppard. He was the loving father of Beverly Andrews and Tony Sheppard, grandfather to Jennifer Richardson, Stephanie Shin, Matthew Andrews, Joshua Sheppard, John Robert Sheppard, Haley Sheppard, Jeremiah Sheppard, and great granddaughter to Olivia Shin.
Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for more than 31 years at the Army Missile Command on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama until his retirement in 1992. Following his retirement, he relocated to his hometown of Macon where he faithfully cared for his mom until her death in 2013. She was just 12 days short of turning 100.
Bobby loved to coach and be involved in sports and did so with his children for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and working outside and always looked forward to the bi-annual beach vacations to Florida. Woodworking was a particular hobby he really enjoyed. He was always drawing and in his retirement he expanded his talents to include painting.
He is predeceased by his father, Johnny Herbert Sheppard, his mother Doris Brantley Sheppard, his brothers Johnny Doyle Sheppard Sr. and Curtis Randall Sheppard Sr.
Survivors include daughter Beverly Andrews and husband Tohn of Duluth, GA and son Tony Sheppard and wife Shannon of Milton, GA. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Jennifer and Adam Richardson, Stephanie and Tom Shin, Matthew Andrews, Joshua Sheppard, John Robert Sheppard, Haley Sheppard, Jeremiah Sheppard, and great granddaughter Olivia Shin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held in the parlor of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, from 1 PM until 2PM on Friday, July 8th followed by a celebration of life in the chapel at 2PM. A brief graveside service will be held with Tony Sheppard and Pastor Dick Hester of Lebanon Baptist Church, Roswell, GA officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons Joshua Sheppard, John Robert Sheppard, Jeremiah Sheppard and Matthew Andrews.
