Charles Michael "Mike" Bloodworth, born May 16, 1950 passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 in a local hospital after a battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Bloodworth, daddy, Charlie Bloodworth, and brother, Joe Bloodworth.
Mike was a carpenter by trade. He was a Christian. Mike loved life and was an easy going person. The Waffle House was his favorite place to eat.
Mike is survived by his son, Paul (Tina) Winn of Byron; mother, Betty Jo Bloodworth of Macon; siblings, Judy Churchwell, Barbara Wilson, Carl (Rhonda) Bloodworth of Jones County, Patricia (Johnny) Baggett, Russell (Lisa) Bloodworth of Macon; three grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 6 until 8 PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Baggett, Dr. Mark Grinsted, and Rev. Jerry Garner will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon 31201.
