Charles Clarence Cummings, Jr., 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 03, 2017. A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jay C. Tucker officiating. The family will meet friends on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Charles was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Charles Clarence and Louise Cummings. He was preceded in death by his brother, Heyward Cummings. Mr. Cummings was retired from the Army Reserve as a Sergeant in the 928th Maintenance Company and served as Past President of NARFEE. Charles loved doing woodwork in his shop. He was a member of Clinton United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Ollie Long Cummings, brother, Alfred (Matt) Cummings, sister-in-law’s, Sarylan Chitwood, Jacqueline Loyd, and Jeanette Almand, several nieces and nephews.
