Mrs. Clyde G. Mimbs

Macon, GA – Mrs. Clyde Griggers Mimbs, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 28, 2012 surrounded by her family. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Randall Mimbs, Rev. Keith Smith and Rev. David Smith officiating. Donations may be made to Bloomfield Gardens Baptist Church, 5221 Nisbet Drive, Macon GA 31206.

Mrs. Mimbs was born in Lizella, Georgia to the late Jack and Elizabeth Greene Griggers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Leroy Mimbs, son-in-law, Leon Smith, two brothers, Cleveland Griggers and Robert Earl Griggers and a sister, Mrs. Lil Raleigh. Mrs. Mimbs was a former member of the Foursquare Gospel Church. She was very active in the life of her church, Bloomfield Gardens Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was a precious prayer warrior and loved her Lord and her family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Oaks @ Peake, United Hospice and Willow Creek Assisted Living and for the loving care and respect given to their mother.

She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Wynelle Smith of Macon, son, Rev. Randall (Virginia) Mimbs of Macon, daughter, Ouida Whitfield of Macon, grandchildren, Rev. Keith (Ava) Smith, Laurie Scott, Michelle Chapman, Michael (Debbie) Mimbs, Mark (Tammy) Mimbs, Alicia (Troy) Sterk, Cory (Lisa) Whitfield, fourteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and her much loved nieces and nephews.
