OBITUARY
Crystal Gale Horne
27 February, 1978 – 18 January, 2023

Crystal Gale Horne, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Piedmont Medical Center in Macon, Georgia at the age of 44, from complications due to end stage kidney failure. She was a resident of Westbury Center of Jackson for Nursing and Healing since April of 2022 and prior to that was hospitalized since late 2021.
Crystal was born in Dalton Georgia on February 27, 1978 minutes before her twin sister, thus creating the infamous five girl family. Early in her childhood Crystal was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes which contributed to the decline in her health later in life. She was an avid learner and reader who initially studied business at Chattahoochee Technical College. She enjoyed many activities and hobbies. Her writing club gave her beautiful friendships all over the country. In her diabetic groups, she found a meaningful lifelong support network. Her faith was strong, and when she was able, Crystal enjoyed attending church at Soul Station Ministries and Fairview Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends greatly.
Crystal was preceded in death by her mother Kiu Horne and her father Richard Horne, grandparents Joe and Laura Belle Horne. She is survived by her son, Blaine Maddron and his father Brian, sisters and brother's-in-law, Mei Ling Boyd and husband Michael of Marietta, Michelle Kahoiwai and Husband Eric Johnston of Alpharetta, Dawn Huggins Smith and husband Cary of Tennessee, nephews and nieces Andrew Boyd, Abi and Tyson Huggins, Zachary Boyd, Bradey Johnston, Jessica Boyd and Beckett Johnston.
Adhering to her final wishes, Crystal was cremated. The family will schedule a private celebration of life sometime in the coming months. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her kind heart and sweet smile and for shining the brightest when discussing her relationship with God and Family.
