Dorothy May Jackson, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, September 24, 2015. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to Mary Oliver Sanders and worked for Environmental Services with the Georgia Department of Transportation. She was a member of St. James AME and enjoyed reading, raising flowers, and her church family. Mrs. Jackson was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Willie Frank Jackson; daughters, Lynn Ivey (Charles), Annette Fears, Gay Wilson (Keith) and Regina Shelley; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Elijah Allison (Donna) and a host of nieces and nephews.
