Dorothy Upshaw Oates, 66, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Butch Mullis officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. to Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to donor’s favorite charity.
Dorothy was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Rosa Lee Collins Upshaw. She was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Dorothy enjoyed gaming and her family.
She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Curtis Oates of Macon, father, Oscar Upshaw of Macon, daughter, Brooke (Billy) Strange of Macon, son, Kurt Oates of Warner Robins, daughter, Alisa Oates of Atlanta, grandchildren, Niecee Beaty, Ethan Stone, Presley Strange, and great grandchild, Oscar Stone.
