Dorothy “Dot” Wilson Belote, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 19, 2023. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Drive Baptist Church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Skelton and Rev. Brad Marchman officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lawrence Drive Baptist Church, 5774 School Road, Macon GA 31216.
Dot was born in Barnesville, Georgia to the late Joseph Bartow and Leila Dumas Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Ashley Belote and her brother, Zolly Wilson, grandson, Derek Daniels and great grandson, Cyrus Hopper. Dot was a dedicated member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Belote Davis, Kathie (William) Daniels, Mickey (Karli) Belote, David (Wanda) Belote, grandchildren, Craig, Angie, Chris, Jeremy, Amber, Alex, Brittany, Jordan and Samantha, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
