

Edward David Baumgardner, 74, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, with his family by his side. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joe McDaniel officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:30 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. He was a lifelong resident of Macon, Georgia. He attended Pearl Stephens Grammar School and was a1969 graduate of Lanier High School. He went on to attend Macon Junior College and onto Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia, where he graduated with a Business Degree in June 1973. In June of 1973, David married the love of his life, Janice Farrell. They were married for 52 years and both worked for the telephone company. David worked for BellSouth Advertising and Publishing Company until his retirement in 2006.David will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality and his ability to talk, persuasively, as a Special Accounts Rep for the BellSouth Advertising and Publishing Company “The Real Yellow Pages”.
David’s compassion for law enforcement, led him to become a member of Middle Georgia REACT Organization for the Bibb County Sheriff's office for over 30 years. Among his many interests were his collection of Disney and Star Wars memorabilia. He truly loved Disney “Mickey Mouse”.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie David Baumgardner and Georgia Belle Baumgardner.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Baumgardner, son, Wesley David (Danielle) Baumgardner, his two grandchildren, Jareth David and Michaela Adalyn Baumgardner, brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Dianne McCallum and many nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to Alexander IV Memory Care and Brightmoor Hospice for the outstanding care of our beloved David, husband, father, grandfather, in-law and uncle. He will be greatly missed by many people whose heart he has touched.
