Edward Charles Gaspar, Sr., 87 of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018. A graveside service will be held at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 with full military honors. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Gaspar was born in Northampton, PA. He joined the military in 1948 and retired in January 1970 from the Air Force after 21 years of active service with the rank of Master Sergeant. During his military tenure, Mr. Gaspar served as a Material Facilities NCOIC. He served in both Korea and Vietnam. Upon retirement from the Air Force, Edward worked as a Civil Servant at Warner Robins Air Force Base, GA. He continued to utilize his military experience in the Supply Complex, Quality Control in the Avionics warehouse and officially retired in 1992. While living in Macon, he attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church as well as St. Peter Claver.
Survivors include his daughter, Christyanne Gaspar of Macon, GA., his son, Edward Charles (Chuck) Gaspar, Jr. of Wilmington, NC, and his grandson, Edward Charles (Chas) Gaspar III, of Boone, NC.
