

Egidio was born in Iloilo City, Iloilo, Philippines on February 14, 1954, to the late Emilio and Corazon Santos. Egidio graduated the University of San Carlos in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science, and Cebu Doctors' College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He came to the states in 1984 to work as a physical therapist for Nelda Majors in Houston, Texas. He traveled all over the Southern states working his trade, before finally settling in Macon in the late 80s, where he met his wife, Cristina. They met and married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on August 27, 1994 and had their only child in 1996. Egidio was known for his love of music, dancing, and culinary skills. He loved to travel and made sure to always stay active. His faith was very important to him and you could tell by the way he lived his life and took care of the people he loved.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Victoria R. Santos, Fr. Ernesto R. Santos, SDB, Eugenio R. Santos, and Emilia R. Santos
Egidio is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cristina Duque Santos; daughter, Mary Coraflor Santos; siblings, Vice Admiral Eduardo Ma R. Santos (Lilia), Esther Santos-Escudero (Eric), Enrico R. Santos (Carol), Fr. Eligio R. Santos, SDB, Elvira Santos-Urpiana, Edwina Santos-Fernandes (Albert), Bro. Ephrem R. Santos, SDB, Fr. Eliseo R. Santos, SDB; sister-in-law, Grace Duque Dizon (Cayetano).
