Ernest G. Cochran

Ernest Cochran, 77, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Henderson and the Rev. Roy Hulett officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from noon until service time. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to East Juliette Baptist Church, P.O. Box 250, Juliette GA 31046.

Mr. Cochran was born in Morgan County, Georgia to the late Ernest and Nora Cochran. He served in the United States Air Force and was retired from the Department of Natural Resources as a Ranger. Mr. Cochran attended East Juliette Baptist Church and worked as a Patrolman with the Macon-Bibb County Police Department. He was a member of the FOP Lodge #3 and the Georgia Peace Officers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Doloris Cochran of Juliette, two sons, Larry Thomas Cochran and Ernest Gregory Cochran, four grandchildren, Michael Christopher Cochran, Corey Thomas Cochran, Joshua Heath Cochran and Justin Gregory Cochran two great grandchildren, Lea Grace Cochran and Ashley Brook Dixon, brother, Carlton Cochran of Twiggs, Co., two sisters, Edna Burtner of TX and Dorothy Chase of FL, and several nieces and nephews.
