Ethel was born November 25, 1927, in Thomaston, Georgia to James Iverson Potter and Eva B. Perkins Potter. She worked at Robins AFB for 20 years in the civil engineering department. She loved taking care of her family, parents and little brother, organizing family reunions and providing for those in need. She enjoyed camping with her family at the lake, cooking and being outdoors. In her spare time Ethel would visit folks in the nursing home, celebrating birthdays and special occasions. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert “Boe” Ellis Heath; two sons, Kenneth and Ronald Heath; stepchildren, David and Francis Heath; siblings, James Potter and Edna Ussery; and a grandson, Sterling Nobles.
Survivors are her daughter, Cheryl Heath of Pea Ridge; sister, Sarah NeSmith of Pea Ridge; five grandchildren, Ronnie, Sonya, Kenneth Jr., Christy, Alicia; many great and great-great grandchildren.
Service is set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home before service. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Andy Oxford officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas.
