

Fannie M. Jordan, 96, closed her earthly journey on Sunday, January 27, 2013 to be with the Lord Jesus she loved. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Mason officiating. The family will meet friends on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to service time. The family would be grateful for donation in her memory to Macon Outreach at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, 719 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mrs. Jordan was born in Oak Park, Georgia the daughter of George Ivey and Bessie Godbee Ivey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Jordan and her sister, Sara Twilley. She lived the majority of her life in Macon where she worked as a bookkeeper for Union Furniture Company and as the billing manager for classified ads at the Macon Telegraph from which she retired.
Mrs. Jordan was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and the Solomon Bible Sunday School Class which she loved and served faithfully as treasurer for a number of years and also served at Macon Outreach regularly as long as health permitted. She was blessed with a long life and was a wonderful mother, sister, and wife who gave of herself always thinking of others. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed but is now free and at peace.
She is survived by her sons, James H. (Kathy) Jordan of Fayetteville and Ralph B. Jordan of Macon and aunts, Selina Shannon of Alto, Georgia and Frances Collingsworth of Tuscumbia, AL., and a family of remarkable, devoted, and loving caregivers.
