Heather Denise McCook Watwood, 40, passed away at her residence. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Lyles and Rev. Len Woodard officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service at the funeral home. Burial will be private on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville GA. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to donor’s favorite charity.
Heather was born in Macon, GA to James B. McCook and the late Jewel Dean Gillis McCook. She was a member of the United Community Church. Heather was a dedicated and devoted and loving, Marine spouse, mother, daughter and sister. She and her family enjoyed singing Southern Gospel Music.
She is survived by her husband, Shayne P. Watwood of Beaufort, SC, father, James B. McCook of Macon, daughter, Haylee Bateman of Pittsburgh, PA, son, Zackary Watwood of Beaufort, SC and brother, Dennis McCook of Lizella, nephew, Dusty McCook and niece Tiffany Burges.
