Homer Alton Smith, 88, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Paul Dziadul will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service and asks that in lieu of flowers donation be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Mr. Smith was born in Barnesville, Georgia the son of the late Lillie Martin Smith and Gray Smith. He was retired owner and operator of several businesses in the Macon area.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Eloise A. Smith of Macon; children, Alice S. Toney of Macon, Mavis W. Smith of Suwanee, Ron G. Smith of Forsyth, and Traci S. Archer of Forsyth; step-son, Charles Randall “Randy” Lee of Locus Grove; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
