Huldah Powell Lee, 95, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, at her residence. The family will greet friends from 11:00am – 12:00pm, Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Lee and Dr. Bill Hardee officiating. Private family burial will be at Plainfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Eastman.
Mrs. Lee was born September 14, 1927, in Lumber City, Georgia to the late Alva Floyd Powell and Emma Moye Powell. She was a retired salesperson for J C Penney and a member of Vineville Baptist Church, where she attended the JOY Sunday School Class. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years: Ernest Willie Lee, Sr.; infant son: Ronald Lee; grandson: Joe Lee; son-in-law: Eddie Jones; brothers Jim, Paul, Loutrell, Floyd, Barney, Talmadge and Donald Powell; sisters: Eva Eudora Powell, Minnie Lee Powell, S.L. Powell, Tempie Voyles, Margie Martin and Cleo Powell.
Mrs. Lee is survived by her son: Ernest Lee, Jr. (Debbie); daughters: Peggy Jones and Linda Shurley (Carl); grandchildren: Ben Jones (Lorra), Dan Jones (Melissa), Shannon Cleveland (Clay), Kelly Coldiron (Matt) and Becky Noel (Derek); great-grandchildren: Olsen, Benjamin and Hope Jones, Hudson and Maddux Jones, Jackson and Parker Coldiron, Carter, Emily and Zach Noel, Marcus, Destani and Danielle Cleveland, Shailey Barton (Cliff); great-great-grandchildren: Jackson and Jolene Barton and by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 or to Plainfield Baptist Church, 271 Plainfield Road, Eastman, Georgia 31023.
The family would like to express a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff of Hospice Care Options as well as special caregivers: Sandra Williams and Linda Dean, for the compassionate and loving care extended to Mrs. Lee in her final days.
