

Inez Wilson, 80, of Macon, Georgia passed away at Grady Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 3, 2025, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation from Noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Richard McNair officiating.
Inez was born on January 1, 1945, in McRae, Georgia, to the late Henry Dan and Vera Knowles Selph. Mrs. Wilson grew up in Macon, Georgia and attended Bibb County schools. She was married to the love of her life for 60 wonderful years before he passed away in July 2024. Inez loved meeting new people, being around others, cooking meals and baking cakes for everyone to enjoy. She also loved playing the GA Lottery, talking on the telephone and watching her favorite TV shows. Inez often attended Stone Creek Baptist Church with her daughter and her family. She worked for many years in daycare centers in Macon before deciding to leave the workforce and become a full-time homemaker and to help babysit her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death her husband, Harold Arthur Wilson, Sr. and her baby son, Wesley Wilson, and brothers, William Selph, Curtis Selph, Royce Selph and Bobby Selph. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her children, Harold (Michelle) Wilson, Mike (Angie) Wilson, and Melissa W. (Tony) McWhirter, grandchildren, Callie (Chris) Dukes, Jacob McWhirter, Katharine (Blake) Lee, Megan (Travis) Childree, and Micaela (Robbie) Hill, great grandchildren, Wilson Michael Dukes, Gracie and Addyson McCullars, and Wesley Hill. She is also survived by her sisters, Helen Bazemore, Frances Howell, and sister-in-law, Dianne (Wayne) Yawn. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews to forever cherish her memory.
