Jimmy and I fell in love at first sight.  He was such a charming man he stole my heart quickly.  We grew up together as we aged and had so much fun on every trip or adventure we took.  We never went anywhere that we didn’t get off the beaten path and found places and things we never would have learned about had we not gotten lost.  He said others would never spoil our fun together, because it was “ours”, no one else’s.  He loved going to see Louise Mandrel at her theatre in Pigeon Forge because she’d sit in his lap and sing to him.  He just loved that!  He just laughed!  He said near the end that people would not have the joy in their lives that we did. He felt like he didn’t have the love and attention from some of them anymore and it hurt him so. He changed his life in September 2016 when he gave himself to God once again and joined Parkway Assembly of God.  He had been saved previously but in 2016 he changed as a person and began studying the Bible teachings more and learned more about his Savior.  He made a decision a few years before he died to make changes in his life and finally the year before he died he was successful.  He chose his step daughter and her family to take over his and my care. He chose to move closer.  And he thanked them every day that they helped him because he was overwhelmed with their generosity and love.  He died in my arms and they surrounded him in prayer.    
He is in Heaven without pain, the wheelchair, and all the sorrows from heartaches. 

Jimmy, You will never be far from My memory. You were a wonderful Friend and through You I got to know Brenda and I love Her also. I wish I could just dial You up and hear Your voice. See You soon ole Friend !!

Mr. Wasden was a customer of mine for over 25 years. He always had a smile on his face and was a joy to be around.  He was truly a good man.

I haven't seen Jim in many years.  We all went to high school together and were later Lee Road neighbors in Macon.   He was one of the nicest people I have ever known.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Our fondest memories of Mr. Jimmy are his wonderful smile & sense of humor. His always pressed jeans & polished zip up boots without any scuffs! His love of Nascar.... we always think of him when we watch & always will. We fondly remember our visits with Jimmy & Brenda. We will cherish our memories of him & he will be greatly missed. 

I will always cherish my memories of you both.  Gunsmoke will always remind me of my dear friend Jimmy. It was my pleasure to have known yall. RIP Jimmy.

Jimmy was a very special man, and I will miss him. Over the years, he taught me the importance of having fun, laughing, loving your family and most importantly character.  He laughed a lot and had the best smile. Always a prankster  (Like the time he tossed water on us from a second story window).  He also told it like he believed - and provided the gift of candor, but never in a mean-spirited way.  He was devoted to family - and was so proud of his 8 grandchildren.  I’ll miss him but I also know he will always be near. Fly high Jimmy! 


Brenda I am so sorry to hear the devastating news. I prayed for you and your family. I'm sure you were by his side constantly. I hope that your family will be by your side and give you strength. We always have our memories. And a comfort they will be.

Dear Carla  and Craig, I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you both. I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I know he will be missed. Take care of each other.Sending love and prayers, Sandy

Mr. James you will truly be missed,  I will miss our morning talks, and our routine that we had every day 🙂.  Ms. Brenda just remember how much he loved you. Sending love and prayers to you and the rest of your family.

  I am heartbroken about the passing of Mr. Wasden. I have such fond memories of him when I was little and we lived on Summerhill Drive. He always had a big smile on his face. 

Mrs. Brenda, you are an amazing example of what a devoted and loving wife should be.  Pease know that I am thinking about you all at this difficult time and praying for all of you.
