

MACON – Emily Jean Willard, 75, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Tripp Martin and Pastor Ed Chambliss will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home and while flowers are acceptable, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Vineville Baptist Church Mission Fund, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon 31204.
Mrs. Willard, wife of the late Perry D. Willard, was born in Brookfield, Georgia the daughter of the late Johnnie Mack and Lila Mae Sapp Partin. She was preceded in death by five brothers. Mrs. Willard was bookkeeper/comptroller retired from Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. She was an avid golfer and was a member of Riverside Golf and Country Club holding the Ladies Club Title for two years. Mrs. Willard was a dedicated member of Vineville Baptist Church where she was active in the life of her church with the XYZ Senior Adults, the WMU, as treasurer of the Friendship Sunday School Class and an enthusiastic supporter of the Festival Bazaar.
She is survived by those she loved most, her family…..her children, Bonnie (Gene) Elmore of Lizella and Perry “Danny” (Debbie) Willard of Macon; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; her sisters and brother, Faye Martin of Lake Wells, FL, Dorothy Mason of Conyers, John M. Martin of Alapaha and Joyce Hammond of Bogart and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
