Jeanette W. Coleman Hutto, 78, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Pine Pointe Hospice following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. John Beck will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1 p.m. to service time on Friday at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to their charity of choice.
Mrs. Hutto, daughter of the late Edward Moss Williams and Nellie Howell Williams, was born in Danville and had lived in Macon most of her life. She was a dental assistant working for a number of years for Dr. Rick Vollmer. Mrs. Hutto was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and grew up attending Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Benjamin Coleman and was the sister of the late JoElla Williams, Nell Lerdon and Howard Williams. Mrs. Hutto was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family and whose joy came from spending time with them.
Survivors include her husband of fifteen years, Thomas “Tommy” F. Hutto of Macon; her children, Mark (Karen) Coleman of Flowery Branch, Ken (Linda) Coleman of Weaverville, NC, Valery C. (Tim) Moseley of Mt. City and Scott (Flo) Coleman of Weaverville, NC; her stepchildren, Stephen (May Ann) Hutto and Melody (Dennis) Ellis, all of Macon and Patrick (Terrie) Hutto of Tallahassee, FL; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; her brother, Luther Williams of Macon; her sister-in-law, Zilphialu Williams of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
