MACON - John Ronald Sawyer, Sr. passed away November 9, 2010. Funeral services will be held 2P.M. Friday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Trey Jones will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Sawyer was born in Macon to the late John B. Sawyer and Aileen Califf Sawyer. He was a member of Cross Keys United Methodist Church, but had been attending Life Center on Houston Road. Mr. Sawyer was once employed by L.E. Schwartz and Sons, but had spent his recent time helping others as a handy man. He loved to ride his motorcycle with his friends and family.
Survivors include his children, Ronda Sawyer Foskey (David) and John Ronald Sawyer, Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Poff, Marilyn Sawyer Stephenson (Jamie), Emily Sawyer Hayman (Ric), Stephanie Sawyer, and Mick Sawyer; great grandchildren, Ailey Hayman and Adilynn Stephenson.
