Born June 2, 1926 in Macon, Georgia to Charles and Agnes Pickett. She is preceded in death by her parents and three siblings; Charles and Robert Pickett, and Jean Pickett Barefoot.
She is survived by her children, Carol Collins Miles, husband Raymond, George Robert Collins, wife, Anne, and Jeanmarie Collins, her beloved grandchildren Raymond, Robert, and Ryan Miles, Jessica Clark Boody, husband, Mike, Collin Clark, Jennifer Collins Fyler and Robbie Collins, eight great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. Her nieces and nephews are from south Florida, Evansville, Indiana, and Knoxville, Tennesee.
Joyce grew up in Macon and Miami, Florida, where she lived for many years and raised her children. Later in life she moved to Evansville, Indiana, Birmingham, Alabama, Griffin and Vidalia, Georgia.
Joyce was a devout Christian, a lover of birds and flowers, and, always rejoiced in the accomplishments of her grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Macon Memorial Park, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Georgia, at 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Hospice Chaplin, Bill VanSant, officiating.
