

June Etheridge Turner, 84, passed away February 17, 2016 at Spanish Oaks Retreat in Savannah, Georgia. She was born May 3, 1931 in Macon, Georgia. June attended Miller High School and retired after 27 years at Joseph B Riley Elementary School. She was a charter member of the Westlawn Baptist
Church. Dance was her passion and she cherished her time as a dance member with the Silver Spurs. Her joyful spirit was a delight to all that knew her.
She is survived by a son, James B. Turner Jr.(Brenda) and a daughter, Angela T. Farthing (Randy); her wonderful grandchildren Paige Wheeler (Chris), Kyle Mixon (Laura), Hayley Waters (Ross); five very special great grandchildren; and loving extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Benion Turner, beloved sister, Joan Cone, a grandson, Bo Turner, and a great grandson Hewitt Waters.
The Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 20th, at Macon Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Macon Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kyle Mixon, Chris Wheeler, Ross Waters, Randy Farthing, David O'hare, and Bruce Moore.
