Mrs. Katherine Carter Carter Douthit

MACON, GA - Katherine Carter Douthit, 88, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 1P.M. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Loran Smith officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday from Noon until service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Lizella United Methodist Church, 2920 S. Lizella Road, Lizella, GA 31052.

Mrs. Douthit was born in Crawford, County to the late Dowse Bradwell and Susie Marshall Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ovid Douthit, her brother, D. B. Carter and sister, Juanita Bostick. Mrs. Douthit was a member of Lizella United Methodist Church and the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class and has been a sales representative for the past thirty-six years with Avon. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by those whom she loved the most her children, James O. Douthit, Jr. (Gloria) of Macon, Donald B. Douthit (Patricia) of Marietta, Glenda Douthit Frost (Bill) of Norcross, Terry M. Douthit (Paula) of Macon; ten grandchildren, Mary Katherine Lindsey, Renee' Brown, James O. Douthit, III, Chad Douthit, Lisa Garey, David Frost, Jennifer Bare, Mark Frost, Kelly Bouchard, and Ben Douthit; great grandchildren, Matt, Zach, Mary Katherine, Leah, Anna Kate, Will, Claire, Jake, Grace, Landon, Tyler, Loren, Logan, Audrey, Preston, Abigail, Elizabeth, Caitlyn; and brother, James Isham Carter of Lizella; and several nieces and nephews.
