Larry Paul Ritch, Sr., 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 17, 2016. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Bob Hamilton will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ritch was born in Barnesville, Georgia the son of the late Louise Tarpley Ritch and Columbus Paul Ritch. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, June Miller Ritch and a daughter, Sharon Ritch Cavender. Mr. Ritch was retired from Pinkerton Tobacco where he received the President’s Club Award. He loved his family and enjoyed playing pool and was an avid woodworker. Mr. Ritch was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. Ritch is survived by his daughter, Myrah Ritch Kitchens of Warner Robins; son, Larry P. Ritch, Jr. of Macon; son-in-law, Mike Cavender of Griffin; sister, Peggy Rowland of Gray; grandchildren, Dawn Horne, Amie (Damon) Rogers, Leslie (Michael) Bird, Stacie (Jerry) Robertson, Lauren (Ashley) Stapleton, and Curtis Green; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 nephews; and his dog, Zoe.
