Margaret H. Hester, 81, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Bo Turner will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family may also be contacted at Margaret's residence. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Hester was born in Macon the daughter of the late Mary Flora Wood Hall and John Ivory Hall, Sr. She was the widow of Roy Hester and was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Embry. Mrs. Hester was a homemaker, a former member of Bethesda Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Mrs. Hester is survived by her children, Terry Hester of Dublin, Vickie Dever of Louisville, KY, and Kenny (Christy) Hester of Eatonton; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Hall and Tim Hall both of Macon; several nieces & nephews.
