Mary McCallum Johnson passed away on September 25, 2013, at the age of 79. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, O. Raymond Johnson. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Kim Skotzko(Gene) and Carey(Jimmy) Fagan, brother Doug(Dianne) McCallum, grandsons Greg(Natalie) and Andrew Skotzko, and numerous family members and friends.
Mary was born to Etta and Jerome McCallum of Lizella. She graduated from Miller High School, after which she married her high school sweetheart, and later graduated from Georgia College and State University. For years she worked for several federal government agencies, including the Department of Defense and Federal Aviation Administration as a computer analyst/programmer. She loved gardening, as a Master Gardener, and equally loved music, singing in church choirs for years as an excellent soprano.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at First Baptist Church of Christ, 511 High Place, Macon, on Saturday, September 28th at 2:00 pm, with ministers Scott Dickison, Gary Thomas, and David Mosely presiding. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 27th, from 4 - 6 pm, at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31204. Flowers are welcome or donations in her memory may be made to Pine Point Hospice, Macon, GA, or the Alzheimer's Association, Central Georgia Chapter.
