Michael Allan Smith, 57, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park with Military Honors with Rev. Jimmy Rozier officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Persons Varsity Bass Fishing Team, 300 Montpelier Ave., Forsyth, GA 31029 or United in Pink,1415 Bass Road, Suite B, Macon, GA 31210.
Michael was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Ruby Evans Sanders. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jimmy Sanders. He served his country in the Air Force during Desert Storm and retired from GEICO. He was of the Baptist faith, and avid fisherman, loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and his dog “Molly”. He enjoyed life to the fullest! He was a captain on the Mary Persons Fishing team and part of the United in Pink committee.
He his survived by his beloved wife, Pattie Lynn Smith of Juliette, son, Tanner Wayne Smith of Juliette, father, Allan Smith (Martha) of OK, sisters, Dawn McConnell (Tom) of FL, Kim Hurt (Russell) of TX, DeeAnn Johnson (Michael) of OK, sister, Stephanie Black of OK, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
