Nellie Ione Baker Deep, 100, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday October 2, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Deep was born in Milan, GA, the daughter of the late William Hudson “Sam” Baker and Elsie Jane Thomas Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Joseph Deep and her son, Gregory Allen Deep. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a retired Registered Nurse from Middle Georgia Hospital. She and her late husband Johnny were avid dancers.
Mrs. Deep loved and enjoyed raising her three sons and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons: Samuel J. Deep (Nicole Poss) of Macon, David B. Deep of Macon, daughter-in-law, Kelly Deep of Macon, four grandchildren, Kimberlee Deep, Stephanie Deep, Sarah Payne, and Brad Deep. She leaves behind several Great-grandchildren.
