Opal Lee Edwards

Macon, GA- Opal McCall Bilderback Edwards, 91, surrounded by her loving family, Opal went home to be with Jesus, Monday, October 6, 2014. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Glad Tidings Tabernacle Church, 1055 Hightower Road, Macon GA 31206 with Pastor Gladys Bell officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. to service at the church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Opal was born in Archville, TN to the late Pearl Evelee and Arthur Columbus McCall. She was preceded in death by the love of her life her husband, Jesse Edwards, three sons, Johnny Carroll Bilderback, Jimmy Bilderback, James Carroll Bilderback, daughter, Fairy Rose Bilderback, brother, Leonard McCall and great grandchildren, Leah and Landon Childs.

She lived most of her life in Macon and was a homemaker who's greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her family and preparing fantastic meals for them to enjoy and took pride in keeping a very clean home. Opal enjoyed gardening, growing vegetables and beautiful flowers. She was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Nancy (Larry) Childs of Jones, County, sons, David (JD) (Peggy) Bilderback of Crawford, Co., Sam (Carol) Bilderback of Macon, nine grandsons, sixteen great grandchildren, two sisters, Lucille (Charles) Cross of Cleveland, TN, Shirley (James) Hyde of Charleston, TN, two brothers, J.C. McCall of Macon, Carroll (Sherry) McCall of Cleveland, TN and many nieces and nephews.
