MACON - Otto Joseph Jaindl, 87, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at a local hospital. Private graveside services will be held in Andersonville National Cemetery.
Otto Joseph Jaindl was born March 20, 1924 in Allentown, PA the son of Austrian and Hungarian immigrants, Alois and Maria Jaindl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years, Catherine Galm Jaindl and seven brothers and sisters. -Mr. Jaindl graduated from the University of Nebraska, was employed by Western Electric and Army Corps of Engineers before moving to Warner Robins, GA in 1968. Raised in the Catholic faith, Mr. Jaindl attended St. Peter Claver Church. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Fishing, travel and woodworking were his hobbies.
Mr. Jaindl is survived by his wife, Dorothy H. Caldwell; his children, Edward (Lynne) Jaindl, Barbara Jaindl, Christopher (Nancy) Jaindl, Raymond (Laurie) Jaindl and Mary (Shawn) Collins; his grandchildren, great grandchildren and three stepchildren.
