Phillip Joel Bentley, 69, passed away February 1, 2021. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor John Wood officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Phillip was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Thomas T. Bentley and Dorothy Shields and was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Smith Bentley; son, Jay Bentley; brother, Mike Davis; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hill; mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Marie Smith; and grandmother, Rosa Tripp Bentley. He retired as a Machine Mechanic from Brown and Williamson and R.J. Reynolds.
He is survived by his brother, Steve Bentley; brother-in-law, William A. Hill; nieces, Kimberly (Patrick) Murphy, Wanda (Jason) Jaffe, Terri Bentley; and several great nieces and nephews.
