Ronald Lamar Pettis, 69, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. A Celebration of his Life with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Bellevue Baptist Church. Burial will be private for family only at the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cochran. Rev. Jim Duggan will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service in the sanctuary.
Mr. Pettis was born in Dade City, Florida the son of the late Ralph Lamar Pettis. He was retired from the automotive industry and was a United States Army veteran having received the Purple Heart. Mr. Pettis was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Pettis is survived by his mother and step-father, Willie Jones Calanchi and Ernesto M. Calanchi; sister, Sheila Sue Freeman (John); step-brother, Ernesto L. Calanchi, Jr.; aunt, Alice Faye Wright; a number of nieces and nephews.
