Ruth E. Morris, 84, passed away on Tuesday, December 03, 2013. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joe McDaniel officiating. The family will meet friends on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210 or American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mrs. Morris was born in Hackleburg, AL to the late Levi T. and Mattie W. Cochran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hunt Morris, her son, Wayne A. Morris and eight siblings. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews Christian Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children; Joan Morin of Elkton, KY, Thomas E. (Diane) Russell of Marlton, NJ, Debbie K. (Richard) Haile of Ft. Collins, CO, daughter-in-law, Connie Q. Morris of Macon, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
