EATONTON – Sandra “GAGA” Holland Cumbess, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Holland will officiate. Serving as Pallbearers will be Greg Holland, Morris Holland, Phillip Hutto, Joey Hall, Shane Wright and Rodney Grinstead. The family will meet friends Friday, from 12:00 until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cumbess was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Cumbess and by her parents, Walter Freeman Holland and Dorothy Morris Holland. She was born in Macon and was a graduate of Dudley Hughes High School and Wesleyan College. Mrs. Cumbess was a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by the family she adored, her daughters, DeeDee Cumbess of Eatonton and Monica Dooley of Temple, GA; her five beloved grandchildren, Ashlyn Hutto, Phillip Hutto, Daniel Greene, Brannon Booth and Gracie Dooley and her brother, Greg Holland of Macon.
