Stephen “Ken” Kitchens, 70, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Kitchens officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries, 9420 Blackshear Hwy, SE, Baxley GA 31513.
Ken was born in Milledgeville, Georgia to Walter Stephen Kitchens and Betty Juanita NeSmith Kitchens. He was a member of Northridge Baptist Church and was a claims specialist with GEICO. Ken enjoyed softball, basketball, golf, hunting and playing the piano and organ. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his mother, Betty NeSmith Kitchens of Macon, children, Darryl (Kimberly) Kitchens of Kathleen, Matthew Kitchens of Forsyth, Danielle (Brent) Winters of Cleveland, TN, grandchildren, Sarah, Olivia, Noah, Emma, Abigail, Caleb, Reese, and Mattie, brother, Randy (Sherri) Kitchens and several nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Walter Stephen Kitchens.
The family would like to thank Summerhill Senior Living Center for their support and care of Ken during his time of need.
