Trudy S Barber

Trudy S. Barber, 88 of Macon, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. Derek McAleer and Reverend Jeremy Wilson will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. till service time in the funeral home.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late James and Kathleen Dougherty Shorten and was the widow of John W. Barber.

Mrs. Barber was employed by Coliseum Medical Center for 22 years. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling. Her favorite hobby was reading and enjoying her weekly visits to the library. She was a member of Forest Hill Church.

Survivors include her children, Robert House Jr (Iris) Macon, GA; Bonnie House Arbo of Fernandina Beach, Fl; Abby London (Randy) Macon, GA; Jeneane Barber (Stacy) Macon, GA; Katy Adams (Jimmy) Milledgeville, GA; Grandchildren: Wesley Gordon, Grant Gordon, Lucas House, Justin Adams, Jordan Adams, Emily Arbo, Anna Arbo. Great Grandchildren: Kaylee Gordon, Jack Gordon, Banks Adams, Kate Adams, Copeland Adams. Brother & Sister-in-law: James Shorten (Marcia) Locust Grove, VA. Sister-In-Law: Carol Shorten (Hatboro, PA) Faye Williams (West Point, GA), Linda Barber(Calhoun, GA).
