Verna Green Miller, 90, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ramah Cemetery in Gordon, Georgia with the Rev. Franklin Bryant officiating. The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to service time. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Mrs. Miller was born in Jeffersonville, GA to the late Blanco and Lovie Arnold Green. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Goodwin Miller, Jr. and her brothers, Bobby Green and Donald Green. She was retired from Bert Maxwell’s Furniture as a bookkeeper and was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and great aunt.
She is survived by her brother, John Marshall (Retha) Green of Warner Robins, sister-in-law, Sara Ann Miller Birdsong of Appling, GA, niece, Tammy Silvia, nephews, Kelly Green, Marshall, Green, Richard Green, David Birdsong, Miller Birdsong, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
