Wanda Rawls Califf, age 72, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park with Pastor Trey Dickerson officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
She was born in 1951 to the late Grady and Ruby Rawls. She graduated from McEvoy High School and Tennessee Temple University with an associates in Early Childhood Evangelism. In her spare time, she enjoyed attending church and the many church activities, as well as spending time with family and friends.
It has been said that hospitality opens the door to uncommon community, and she so loved fellowshipping with friends in her senior living community often times around a dinner table sharing stories and experiences. She never met a stranger and loved getting to know everyone she met. Besides her time spent with friends, she especially treasured time spent with her family and the grandchildren. Her face would lighten up, just knowing the opportunity to visit with family was planned.
In addition to her parents, Grady and Ruby, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Califf. She is survived by her son, Eric Califf - spouse, Stacey Califf; daughter, Suza Califf Skipper - spouse, Richard Skipper; grandchildren, Leelu Califf Wildes - spouse Alexander Wildes; Gavin Franklin, Gage Franklin, Mina Califf, Adrien Califf, Scarlett Califf, Erica Rae Califf; great grandchildren, Carter Wildes and Oakleigh Wildes.
