

Willodean King Peterman, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, November 12, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rob Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday night from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Thomaston Road Church of Christ, 5859 Thomaston Road, Macon, 31220.
Willodean was born in Geneva, Alabama to the late Harvey and Toy Williams King and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David Peterman. She was a member of Thomaston Road Church of Christ (formerly Southside) where she was very involved in teaching Sunday School and other church activities and helped those in need. Willodean was into fashion and enjoyed baking and selling wedding cakes, was an avid fitness and health enthusiast, including speed and regular walking, and loved animals, especially dogs. She also loved birds and was always dedicated to keeping her hummingbirds happy. Charles and Jean Fordham, some of their very dear friends, played cards with Willodean and Charles on Friday nights for over 40 years. Above all, she was a caregiver to her children and grandchildren and loved to volunteer in her church and her children’s schools.
Survivors include her daughter, Treena Carter Hendricks of Atlanta, GA; sons, David Randall Peterman of Washington DC and Russell Glenn Peterman of Macon; grandchildren, Valerie Pavloff, Christopher Carter, Emma Peterman, Joshua and Russell Peterman and also including Jonathan Wesson; great grandchildren, Ansley, Rob and Carter Pavloff, Liam and Olson Carter; numerous nieces and nephews from Alabama and Florida.
