

Alexander A. “Sandy” Hose, 76, of Marblehead, passed away October 5, 2010 at Beverly Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Anne (Guerra) Hose with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Alexander V. and Jean Hose.
He was a graduate of Governor Dummer Academy and Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Sandy owned and operated Sunshine Cleaning Company in Marblehead for twenty five years. He was a member of the Gerry 5, the Marblehead Elks, and the Rotary Club of Marblehead where he served as Past Secretary. He also was an amateur photographer who enjoyed taking photos for different organizations, especially the Marblehead Council on Aging. Sandy was always known for his wonderful smile; was loved by everyone he met, and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Alexander V. Hose, and Andrew A. Hose both of CA; one daughter, Marian Jean Hose of NY; four step-children, Randy Guerra of Boxford, Nancy Pizzotti of Wilmington, Bert Guerra of CA, and Frank Guerra of Saugus; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Dr. Arland A. Dirlam Chapel in Waterside Cemetery, 294 West Shore Drive, Marblehead on Saturday, October 9 at 11AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
