Elda Erma Marchetti Morgan, age 95, passed into rest peacefully at her home in Marblehead on June 28, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband Richard S. Morgan of Marblehead, her sister Catherine Marchetti of Hyannis, her parents, Ivo Marchetti of Hyannis and Malden, and Cleofe Marchetti of Malden.
She is survived by her daughters Christine and Michele Morgan of Marblehead, daughter, Pamela Morgan Holt, son-in-law, David Holt, and grandchildren, Kevin, William, Brian and Sarah, of Sunnyvale, CA.
Elda graduated from Malden Public High School and the Modern School of Fashion and Design in Boston. She worked at Laura Appleton Interior Design until the birth of her first child. She settled in Marblehead in 1963 where she raised her family. She volunteered for the Girl Scouts and chaperoned many school field trips. She worked at the Coffin School as a Teacher’s aide and office administrator, for the Mary A. Alley Hospital as a bookkeeper, and for the Marblehead Medical Walk-in Center in medical records and admitting until her retirement.
Family was the most important thing in Elda’s life. She was also a talented artist, crafter, gardener, avid reader, and jigsaw puzzle enthusiast.
