

Elsie L. (Rose) Robinson of Marblehead, MA, mother of four, grandmother of 11, and beloved wife of Francis Robinson, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10th at age 85, surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving her are her husband, Francis Robinson of Marblehead, her children, Gary Robinson of California, Suzan Franks and husband Ric of Hernando, Florida, Marida Osborne of Marblehead, Kristin Robinson and husband Paul Donovan of Peabody, MA, and eleven grandchildren, Mollie Powers of California, Robinson Smith of Hudson, NH, Jaimisen Franks of Nashua, NH, Justin Franks of Orlando, FL, Chad, Kari, Ben and Taylor Osborne of Marblehead and Matthew, Hannah and Ryan Donovan of Peabody, MA.
Born in Kansas City, MO, raised in Winthrop and Lynn, she graduated from Lynn English High School in 1943 and resided in Marblehead for over 60 years. Elsie was a co-owner and chef of the Bide-A -Wee Restaurant in Marblehead and worked in the accounting department at the New England Telephone Company in Salem and Lynn, retiring in 1987.
Elsie had many interests and particularly loved reading, gardening, cooking, and was famous for her blueberry pie. A tremendous lover of the arts, her creative talents led her to explore many artistic mediums and encouraged the arts in her children and grandchildren. In addition, Elsie enjoyed going to her summer home in Maine and traveling with her husband. She was a warm, loving wife, encouraging mother, wonderful grandmother, and a lifelong friend to so many. She will be truly missed by all who loved her.
A memorial service will be held at the Old North Church, 35 Washington Street, Marblehead on Friday, May 21 at 3:30PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elsie’s memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
