Ruth M. Reardon

Born and educated in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Lillian McManus. She was a lifelong resident of Marblehead.

Ruth was a Volunteer at Salem Hospital. She enjoyed all kinds of Music and was a patron of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She was a member of the Beach Club in Swampscott, the Boston Yacht Club in Marblehead, and enjoyed talking politics. Ruth was an avid reader, with a passion for history, language, and the arts, which aided her providing tourists with a historical view of Boston and the North Shore as a Tour Guide.

She was the mother of John A. Reardon,III, and his wife Ellen M. of Swampscott, Pete Reardon and his wife Meredith of Marblehead, and Ann R. Casey and her husband Brian V. of Annandale, VA, and grandmother of Hannah Reardon, Olivia Reardon, Chelsey Reardon, Hayley Reardon, Declan Casey, and Conor Casey.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady, Star of the Sea Church 85 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead Saturday February 27, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Visiting hours will be on Friday February 26 from 4-7 pm at the Eustis & Cornell Funeral Home 142 Elm St. Marblehead.
