Theodore Charles DiBlasi
22 October, 1924 – 9 September, 2020
PEABODY—Theodore C. DiBlasi, age 95, passed away peacefully at his residence at Brooksby Village, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Pertin) DiBlasi, with whom he shared 74 years of devoted marriage.
Born in Corona, NY on October 22, 1924, he was a son of the late Alfred Albert and Elizabeth Lily (Erath) DiBlasi. Ted grew up in Queens, NY and graduated from Flushing High School. His college studies were interrupted by WWII, when he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Ocean Theater. Following his discharge, he completed his engineering degree at Manhattan College. Ted had a long career as a structural engineer in New York City and later in Greenvile, SC. Two projects he was particularly proud of were the Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC, and portions of Government Center in Boston, MA. Above all else though, Ted was a loving and involved father and grandfather. The time spent and memories made with his loved ones meant the world to him, and he loved nothing more than being surrounded by his large extended family.
