Alfred Joseph "Joe" Drewes, 89, of Marengo passed away June 6, 2021.
He was born April 2, 1932 in Sikeston, MO to William and Zelma (Cokley) Drewes.
Joe loved driving and spent his career as a truck driver. He always had great stories to share about his time on the road. He also enjoyed traveling to sight see and to see historical places. He proudly built a home for his family to live. He would often be listening to Country Story Tellers, particularly Jerry Clower.
Joe is survived by his son, Kim (Melisa) Harden; grandchildren, Nathan Eagen and Nikole Piper; his great-grandchildren, Hannah and Zachary Piper; and his sister, Wanda Simpson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Drewes; his parents; and his siblings, Vernon Drewes and Norma “Skip” Larson.
