

He was born June 2, 1923 in Dayton, Ohio to Patrick John and Rose (Farrlley) McBreen. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during WWII. On May 1, 1948 he married Grace Lewandowski at St. Hyacinth Church in Chicago.
He and his wife raised their family on the Northwest side of Chicago before moving to Marengo in 1977. He loved spending time with his family during all of their family gatherings. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and his Cincinnati Reds.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Grace; his sons, Michael, Terrence (Patricia), Mark (Barbara), John (Beverly), and Gerard; his grandchildren, Kevin, Peter (April), Ryan, Katie, Colleen, Ian (Amber), Daniel (Laura), Andrea (David), Jaclyn, Samantha, Rodrick, Kelly, Erin, Emmett, and Liam; his great-grandchildren, Patrick, Anna Fay, and Conor; his sister, Rita Arthur; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to his caregiver, Francis Arellano, and the wonderful people at JouneyCare Hospice for all of their care, especially Teresa Golec.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9pm on Sunday, July 27 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. Visitation will continue from 9am until prayers are said at 10am on Monday, July 28, at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N. Taylor St., Marengo.
Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
