Gregory John Meindl, loving husband and father of 5 children passed away peacefully at home
Wednesday June 15, 2022. Gregory was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 1, 1964 to Kenneth and Carole (Barry) Meindl and grew up in Carpentersville IL. He married his high school sweetheart Jeanne and with 5 children moved to Marengo IL in 1996. Gregory is preceded in death by his father Kenneth, his mother Carole, Sisters Karen and Kathleen, and his brother Joel. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Jeanne (Abbott), His 3 sons; Gregory (Jamie), Andrew (Jessica), Jeremy (Jennifer) and Twin Daughters; Alyssa and Alison (Jesus), A sister Kimberly Hogel (Steven) and a brother Steven, His Grandchildren Benjamin and Jonathan Meindl, Brady Meindl, and soon to be Rosemary Garcia, and his 2 step grandchildren Jace Ball and Adrien Gutierrez.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on September 18, 2022 from 12pm until a Time of Sharing Stories about Gregory at 3pm at Marengo-Union Funeral Home (505 E. Grant Hwy, Marengo, IL 60152).
